But privately, cracks are starting to form: their once-easy rapport is straining under the pressures of fame, and Ruben confides in Zach that he’s feeling smothered by management’s pressure to stay in the closet. So, has my review of 1001 DARK NIGHTS: DRAGON LOST encouraged you to find out more? I really hope so. □ Basically, what I’m saying is… Dragon Lost is a great paranormal romance story with wonderful characters, a bit of humour, romance and a sprinkling of passion.ĭue to the graphic nature of the sex scenes, I would recommend this book to adults who are not offended by this sort of content who enjoy paranormal romance tales with honourable heroes, heroines who have plenty of gumption and enough titillation to make you blush on the bus. The only thing that was missing was any fighting, peril or threat but it’s not a big enough niggle to warrant losing a star over. But don’t worry dear reader there was also some lighter moments to put a smile on my face and some rather fantastic steamy scenes that certainly titillated my fancy. Woop! Woop!ĭragon Lost was a lovely paranormal romance that pulled at my heart. Ms Grant loves the romantic aspect between her lead couple to be concluded by the end of each book. I also liked the way that we learnt extra snippets about existing characters in this tale too I don’t think any of the characters in this series are flat 2-dimensional creations, they all feel very real even though most are mythical species. My hope is that we see more of both of them in future books. Royden being a Dragon King, obviously, has a fair bit of baggage, however, it was great to get beneath his skin and get inside his head. Annita Dragoumis is a remarkable woman I loved learning about her life, her amazing family and getting to know them in this story. I connect to a story more when the lead female character is intelligent, resilient and can look after herself I wasn’t disappointed here. Although this is a novella, and Donna was limited to a smaller word count, she still manages to craft a well-balanced paranormal romance tale that has every aspect that I’ve come to expect. I love the fantasy world that Donna has created and that her characters are not black or white, good or evil but allowed to be complex souls with a multifaceted mix of positive and negative traits. I find her writing style easy to read and I like the way she paces the development of the plot. So when I write a review, it’s more about the author’s style rather than what happens in the book. These various species can be found inhabiting our world as well as in their own magical realms hidden from the knowledge of humans. Plus druid Warriors who have the powers of the old gods. Magic welding druids (the mies who use light magic, dark magic users the droughs. For example, dragon shifters, dark and light fae and fae Reapers ( who work for Death herself). The world features many supernatural and mythological beings. “ Fear doesn’t rule me ,” she told herself and started walking.” What’s Dragon Lost about?ĭonna’s Dark World universe includes the Reaper series, Dark Warrior series and Dark Sword series. There was no reason for her to be afraid. She knew these caves like the back of her hand, just as she knew the waters around her home. “Annita took a tentative step towards the cave, fear taking root.
